Wedding Photographer Shot by the couple.
Author: Rebel
A news I have read on metro.co.uk today
“Calogero Scimea was hit in the head after one of the rifles – provided by the couple’s parents – went off in front of horrified guests on the special day.
The 45-year-old had been standing in as a favour for the official photographer, who had been taken ill.
The groom’s parents, Mario, 56, and Rita, were being questioned yesterday and could face charges of negligence leading to manslaughter because the incident took place at their house.
The shooting happened just before former teenage sweethearts Valentina Anitra, 22, and Ignazio Licodia, 25, were to set off for their church at Altofonte near Palermo on the Italian island of Sicily.
‘From what we have been able to establish the photographer had asked the parents of the bride and groom if they had any guns to use as props and one went off,’ said police spokesman Col Teo Luzi.
‘The bride and groom were distraught and the wedding was cancelled.’ The hunting rifle was legally held. Guns are often fired during family events in Sicily.”

Feed Your Photographer.

To feed or not to feed? That is the question. There is no fast rule on this topic. Couple should always ask their photographer in advance and have it agreed before the wedding day. So far I was only on one wedding where I didn’t get any food. There was also no food available to buy so me and the videographer went to the village and bought some Indian take away. We had to eat it outside the marquee in front of a surprised guests. As I usually work more than 8 hours (most of the times about 12) I believe that it is not so bad idea to eat something during the time and have a short break when everyone else is eating too. I do not take photos during dinner as I do not consider stuffed mouth an interesting topic. Dinner time is the best time to sit back, have a meal and recharge for the rest of the day. Some photographers state in their contracts that a meal is required and even refuse to shoot the wedding if a couple has a problem with feeding them. I don’t. Some venues provide a thing called “vendor’s meal” which is usually a sandwich and a drink in a separate room. That is absolutely fine with me. Remember: happy photographer = better pictures.
